🟡 After three decades in the hands of the Pearson family, The Badachro Inn is up for sale. If you have £675,000 you can buy the business, along with a three bedroom flat. In a post on Facebook, they said, "It’s a shame but unfortunately it’s time to pass the baton on." More: Daltons Business

🟡 If you are age 18+ and haven't been to the theatre in the last 3 years there's a new initiative launching at The Macphail Centre in Ullapool. If you sign-up to the Theatre & Chat project you get three free tickets to a selection of theatre shows. "Come along to the theatre, meet a few others, and stay afterwards for a friendly cup of tea and a chance to chat about the show." More: Facebook

🟡 The Scottish Midge Forecast map has been upgraded for 2026. Now it provides more localised searches - and it gives a "percentage chance of midges" score. Most places in Wester Ross are currently somewhere between 44% and 50%. More: Midge Forecast

🟡 A three bedroom house has come up for rent in Aultbea.

🟡 According to fuel price monitoring service Pumpr.co.uk The Lochcarron Food Centre was selling the cheapest diesel in the whole of Scotland this week. More: BlueSky

🟡 It was Forbes to the rescue after a Brakes catering truck had an unfortunate interaction with some deer on Monday June 8. The overside road at Kerry bridge was closed for a while whilst the lorry was recovered.

S1 to S6 🕰️3:40pm to 4:50pm | P1 to P7 🕰️5pm to 6pm | This trial session will help determine whether there is enough interest, if the day and time works and who could help in a volunteer coach capacity. Athletics is a great way for young people to develop their fundamental movements which leads into other sport and activities.

🟡 Local MP Angus MacDonald says he has received hundreds of emails calling on him not to block renewed calls for another Scottish independence referendum. 🟡 The Environment Regulator, SEPA, have an open public consultation on proposals to raise the dam at the Garbhaig Hydro scheme. The proposals would also modify the catchment of the River Talladale. More: SEPA

🟡 Volunteer coastguards will no longer be paid £11 per hour for responding to emergency call outs following a court ruling. Fears have been raised this could affect the service. More: BBC News
